The life and times of the world's most famous vet. Housed in the original surgery of Alf Wight, author of the James Herriot books, this visitor centre encapsulates the life and work of the famous vet in the town in which he lived for more than 50 years. Interactive displays and exhibits exploring veterinary themes. Explore veterinary science, take a journey back to the 1940s and even allows you to take part in your own TV series! Coach and group bookings welcome.

Disabled access : Fully accessible for disabled, with the exception of the air raid shelter (cellar).
Opening Times : March-October 10am-5pm (last entry 4pm). Nov-Feb 10am-4pm (last entry 3pm.

Admission Prices : Adult £8.50, children £5. Family (2+2) £24.
