SCOTLAND'S highest village, set amidst the dramatic scenery of The Lowther Hills, at the crest of the Mennock Pass. The surrounding heather-clad hills are enjoyed by cyclists, walkers, ornithologists and geologists. For the serious walker the village is an interesting break on The Southern Upland Way that passes through it
