Description

The Hall was designed in 1912 by the renowned York architect Walter H.Brierley, 'the Lutyens of the North'. With its fine lines, unique character and superb layout, the Hall was designated by the Royal Institute of British Architects as being of Outstanding Architectural Merit. Sion Hill contains the H.W.Mawer collection of fine furniture, porcelain, paintings and clocks in superb room settings. Located 6 miles south of Northallerton off A167; 4 miles west of Thirsk; 6 miles east of A1 via A61.
