Description

The oldest existing railway in the world, originally opened in 1725. Three mile steam passenger railway between Sunniside, Causey Arch and East Tanfield using Victorian carriages. Collection of 50 locomotives including Wellington of 1873, Victorian carriages and vintage workshop at Marley Hill Engine Shed, Britain's oldest, built in 1854
