Description

Steam along behind Hawk, Owl, Katie, Fox or Badger, our five friendly steam engines here at the Kirklees Light Railway the home of Yorkshire's Great Little Steam Trains. Take an enchanting 70 minute return trip on narrow gauge rail through the superb scenery of the South Pennine foothills to our family area at the top of our line complete with a large train themed play area, sand pit, Tea Room, picnic site and bouncy castle (seasonal) not forgetting the facilities back at the main station with a large play area, the Buffer Stop Cafe and miniature railway round the pond. Useful Information

Disabled access : Both stations have full disabled access. Please call the office for information regarding disabled access on the trains.
Opening Times : 10am-5pm weekends, school holidays, Wednesday - Sunday from 8th June - 24th July and daily between 25th July - 4th September.
Last Admission : Last train 15.40 (Green & Orange Timetable) or 15.10 (Blue Timetable).
Admission Prices : Adults £7.50, children £5.50, concessions £6.50. Family ticket £24.
