Etal Castle (English Heritage)

Description

Built in the mid-14th century as a defence against Scots raiders, Etal stands in a strategic position by the River Till. It comprises a four-storey keep, gatehouse, corner tower, parts of the curtain wall, and an award-winning exhibition.
