Allerton Castle

Description

Most elegant of the surviving Gothic Revival country houses. Steeped in English history, in the eighteenth century the property was owned by Prince Frederick Augustus, The Duke of York and Albany, brother to King George IV.
Open for guided tours. Refreshments available.

Opening Times : Open for Guided Tours only on Wednesday Afternoons and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons from Easter Monday 17th April to Wednesday 25th October. Doors Open at 12.15pm. Guided Tours at 12.30pm; 1.30pm; 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Special Tours to include a tour of the second floor bedchambers and suites plus afternoon tea are available on Sunday 14th May, Tuesday 1st August and Sunday 22nd October (Ticket Only) - Please telephone for details.
