Attractive venue for the study and display of art, craft and design in the North West. Owned by the University of Manchester, the Whitworth has internationally famous collections of historic British watercolours, textiles and wallpapers, as well as an impressive range of modern and historic prints, drawings, paintings and sculpture. A varied programme of temporary exhibitions also runs throughout the year.
