ONCE a little fishing and smuggling hamlet under 300ft Huntcliffe, but soon overshadowed by a Victorian resort built on hill beyond Skelton Beck. Woodland walks inland up beckside. Oldest cliffside railway in country and short pier. The Valley Gardens and the award winning Saltburn Smugglers are well worth a visit. Saltburn was historically part of Yorkshire, but is now part of the Redcar and Cleveland Borough.
