COBBLED market square is one of the largest in England and this attractive North Yorkshire Town was the home of Frances I'Anson who, in 1787, married Leonard McNally and who has perpetuated his wife's memory in the song Sweet Lass of Richmond Hill. Her home, Hill House, is now converted into flats. According to legend Richmond Castle is the resting place of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The Georgian Theatre (1788) is the oldest one still exactly in its original form Richmond Castle is hosting Richmond Town Council's firework display on Friday, November 5, 2010.
