Chillingham Wild Cattle

Direct descendants of the wild cattle that once roamed the forests of Britain before the dawn of history and the sole survivors of their species to remain pure bred and uncrossed with any domestic cattle. For 700 years they have been enclosed in the 300 acre park at Chillingham, and thus the park has escaped all the great agricultural improvements of the 18th and 19th century creating a living environmental museum.
