Hardwick Park

Description

A former landscaped garden designed by James Paine in the 18th century recently restored to its former glory by Durham County Council, thanks to the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. Throughout the park you will find the remains of some of the original buildings and several follies, a boardwalk, picnic areas and children's play area. You will also find our Visitor Centre, which includes cafe, gift shop, interactive exhibition space and public toilets. A growing number of education sessions and public events are organised throughout the year - call in for a leaflet, or contact us for further details.
