The Gardens are a glorious haven of beauty situated on the edge of the Wolds and include two well-stocked lakes that house a national collection of over 100 Hardy Water Lilies. The lakes are also home to a large number of ornamental fish that can be hand fed. The Gardens provide nine acres of changing vistas, Victorian and secret gardens, extensive rockeries, shrubberies, heather beds and a fine collection of ornamental and indigenous trees. The Stewart Museum contains artefacts collected by Major Stewart eight world tours early in the 20th century. Tea rooms, Gift shop, aviary, children's play area, picnic areas, free car park, wheelchairs available free of charge, Age Concern winner for disabled facilities, guide dogs only. Very popular Sunday band concerts and Wednesday children's events are held throughout the season.
