St. Marys Episcopal Cathedral

Description

Splendid Victorian Gothic cathedral by George Gilbert Scott, the largest ecclesiastical building to be built in Scotland since the Reformation and an oasis of peace in the city. Its spires are visible from many parts of Edinburgh. Daily services held and Evensong sung most weekdays by the Cathedral Choir, to which all are welcome. The Song School has recently restored murals by Phoebe Anna Traquair; please contact the Edinburgh Fringe programme for opening times during the Edinburgh Festival.
