Britain's finest tourist cave. Park in Clapham village (Sat Nav LA2 8EA) off the A65 Leeds-Skipton-Kendal trunk road and then enjoy the beautiful walk up the valley through the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail to the impressive entrance of the cave. Allow half an hour for the walk for which there is a small charge. Tours of the cave start at the shop at the entrance at regular intervals and take about an hour through 1km of large natural passages with many outstanding cave formations all floodlit and along concrete paths. There are no steps and the path is negotiable by pushchair. The cave is the outlet for the famous Gaping Gill pothole which is further up on Ingleborough Mountain
