Malham Tarn Field Centre

Description

Opened in 1947, Malham Tarn Field Centre is one of 17 Centres in the UK run by the Field Studies Council, an independent educational charity which brings Environmental Understanding to All. Situated on the north shore of Malham Tarn on an estate owned by the National Trust in the Yorkshire Dales, the area around the Centre is a National Nature Reserve and an internationally important wetland site. We run a range of courses for school groups at all levels, specializing in geography, biology and environmental studies. Our courses for adults contain something for everyone whether a weekend on wild flowers, a week of water colour painting or exploring the historical landscape of the area. Please see the course listing for dates. The Centre is also an ideal location as a venue for groups to run their own course, conference or away days.
