The Garden Station

Description

A woodland garden and beautifully restored wooded Victorian railway station on the former Hexham-Allendale railway. Our cafe specialises in real, tasty home-cooking, including excellent soups, home-baked bread and great cakes. We use seasonal, local and organic ingredients. The Garden Station is a magical and unique place to visit, with a delightful Woodland Garden imaginatively planted down the track under two magnificent arched bridges, and you can continue your walk into Langley Woods. In the Station are exhibitions by local artists, and art, crafts, books, cards and plants are for sale. The Garden Station's calendar includes a Hexham Book Festival event in May, North Pennines Storytelling Festival event in October and more than 25 day courses, ranging from bread-making to willow sculpture. For details, please ring for our brochure or visit our website. Enquiries for groups and parties welcome.
